Jackson Hole, Wyoming - This was toughest experiment yet for Ms. Manhart's 8th grade science class.
The Poetry in Chemistry project is an interdisciplinary collaboration with
pARTners bringing creative writing into Amy Manhart's 8th grade science
classroom. This was the culminating project in our study of matter,
specifically mixtures, compounds, and elements. Matt Daly,local writer and
pARTner's artist, guided the students through this unique project. The
students presented their poems in class with props to help set the mood
and beatnik-style snaps of approval.
