Jackson, Wyoming – Jacksonites have been camped out all day on Glenwood and Broadway Avenues to score $3 tickets to one of two shows Jack White plays today at Pink Garter Theatre.

Following his Coachella performance, White announced he would visit the five states he had not yet performed in: South and North Dakota, Idaho, Alaska and the Cowboy State. However, the Grammy-winning artist said he would not disclose the specific venue and location for each show until the day of the performance. Since then, fans and media outlets throughout Wyoming have been abuzz speculating where the famed musician and record producer would appear.

This morning, after playing the Egyptian Theatre in Boise, ID, the 39-year-old musician declared via Facebook that the Pink Garter Theatre in Jackson would host his Wyoming debut. White will be playing two acoustic shows, one at 4 p.m. and an evening show at 9 p.m. He performed in Anchorage at the University of Alaska on April 20.

Tickets for the 4 p.m. show went on sale at noon and sold out in less than an hour. Tickets for the evening show, which have garnered another dizzying line of hopeful fans, will go on sale at 4 p.m.

hey at least all the people that cut in line got tickets! I got shot down about 30 shy of the cutoff for the afternoon show, and saw at least that many folks amble up to a bro in line and stay there.

If the people at the back of the late show line knew how many poachers there are going to be up front, they would burn that sh!t down.

Cool idea by Jack White, too bad the d0uche- and trusty-factor is so high in this town…
